Justin Bieber chased by paparazzi, appeared to be going 80 mph, Zine says

Justin Bieber, who was stopped and cited Friday for driving in a "reckless manner" on an L.A. freeway, may have been chased by the paparazzi.

CHP officers reported seeing at least one other car chasing Bieber, but that vehicle fled the scene when the singer was stopped.

Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine, who called 911 to report the incident, said he saw paparazzi pursuing Bieber on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley.

The singer cut from the fast lane to the slow lane and even onto the shoulder before the California Highway Patrol pulled him over, Zine said.

Zine said Bieber admitted to driving 80 mph. The councilman said he understands the problems celebrities have with paparazzi and sponsored a city law to curb the aggressive behavior. Still, he said, that's no excuse.
"Any time you do 90, the paparazzi are going to go 90," Zine said.

He said he believes the singer and the tabloid photographers should have been arrested for reckless driving. "This reminds me of the Princess Diana situation," Zine said.

Bieber was pulled over in a Fisker Karma sports car about 10:45 a.m. by CHP officers on the 101 at Vineland Avenue and Ventura Boulevard. The 18-year-old was allegedly weaving in and out of traffic.

CHP Officer Ming Hsu said the entertainer was driving in excess of 65 mph, but that his precise speed was not available.

Chris Brown Alludes to Club Brawl, Disses Drake on

New Track

And the battle continues...

Chris Brown took a break from Twitter to express his feelings toward fellow rapper Drake in his latest track "Game Don't Like," in which he alludes to the infamous W.i.P club bottle brawl.

RELATED: Chris Brown Bar Brawl Update: W.i.P. Nightclub Shut Down!

On the new freestyle track, which was released on djorator.com (warning: foul language), Brown indiscreetly raps about bottles being thrown and even riffs a bit on Drake's new album title, Take Care.

The rapper sings: "One on one, what you scared bruh? Huh, matter of fact, 'Take Care' bruh."

That's about all we can quote without crossing out half the letters, so will let you fill in the blanks.

Although Chris took to Twitter earlier in the month post brawl, and then quickly deleted his tweets, the rapper has otherwise remained relatively hush-hush on the incident.

Could this be Brown's response to Drake's vocal ramblings during his New York concert only days after the brawl?

Sadly, since there won't be a million-dollar fight in the ring to watch, we're going to have to settle for what appears to be the beginning of a rap-off!

They Do! Alec Baldwin Marries Hilaria Thomas

Alec Baldwin Marries Hilaria Thomas

Alec Baldwin is once again the marrying man.

The 30 Rock star, 54, and Hilaria Thomas, 28, tied the knot in front of family and friends Saturday at the Basilica of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in Manhattan, E! News has learned.

Matthew Hiltzik, a friend of the couple, announced the happy occasion on Twitter:

"Hilaria Thomas and Alec Baldwin were married this evening...in New York City, sharing the occasion with family and friends inside the Cathedral, and Alec warmly receiving congratulations from well-wishing fans on his way into the service."

Obviously no paparazzi were invited, but who did make the cut?

Ireland Baldwin, the groom's 16-year-old daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger, was in attendance, along with Jimmy Fallon and SNL and 30 Rock producer Lorne Michaels. Also on hand to celebrate the big day were Tina Fey, Mariska Hargitay, Woody Allen as well as Alec's brothers Billy and Stephen.

Per People, the bride wore a silk magnolia trumpet Amsale gown with cap sleeves and a keyhole back neckline accented with crystal buttons. The groom donned a tux from Tom Ford.

Befitting the occasion, the venue was decked out with bridal-white roses, hydrangeas and calla lilies.

The bridesmaids wore eclectic miss-matched dresses, some in black, gray and turquoise, others in bold turquoise-and-purple tie-dyish prints.

Baldwin began dating Thomas last summer and immediately seemed smitten.

"Running for mayor and being the mayor are two completely different things, and my life is changing," Baldwin told David Letterman when the Late Show host quizzed him in August about a possible run for mayor of NYC.

"I'm going to do the show for another year, and beyond that, I've got a woman in my life, my girlfriend, who is very important to me."

"Would I rather be handcuffed to the emergency command center in Maspeth during a hurricane, holding down the fort and making sure all the plows are working," he added, "or would I rather spend some of that 30 Rock money traveling the world with my girlfriend?"

Fans got their first glimpse of Thomas that night, when the camera cut to her waiting in the Late Show green room.

Baldwin popped the question with a princess-cut diamond ring in April. There were rumors that they were considering eloping while abroad for the Cannes Film Festival, but seeing the betrothed couple at the City Clerk's Office, picking up a marriage license like ordinary folks, just seemed so much more...Baldwinesque, don't you think?

Same goes for what happened on the street outside afterward!

But that's all water under the bridge now. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Jenny McCarthy: Why I posed for Playboy

Jenny McCarthy: Why I posed for Playboy
On Monday, Jenny McCarthy’s anticipated Playboy cover debuted online -- and it is still creating plenty of buzz on the Web days later.

Yahoo! searches for "jenny mccarthy 2012" spiked an impressive 883% over the past 24 hours. Also booming in Search: "jenny mccarthy 7," "jenny mccarthy photos," as well as a host of search terms that we can't really mention, but we're sure you can put two and two together.

The search interest is particularly impressive because it isn't like McCarthy is a stranger to posing in the altogether. The Playboy veteran first posed in 1993.

What’s different today is that she is now 39 and a mother to 10-year-old son Evan.

Was she worried about how he’d react? Nah.

"I think he can find a lot worse available on the Internet these days," she told People this week. "I think people make such a big deal sometimes about it, when I feel like it just comes down to how you raise your child and how you explain things to your kid."

One day, she said she’ll have a talk with him, but for the time being, she doesn’t make a big deal out of any racy pics she’s posed for.

Said the “Love in the Wild” host: "I don't have one [magazine] cover up… I mean, I don't even have my Rolling Stone cover up. It's like, who wants to look at themselves? I don't. Seriously, the only picture I have up of myself is one of a shark eating Evan and me."

Jenny McCarthy talks about her new gig hosting NBC's dating competition "Love in the Wild":

Besides, she told People, her new Playboy pics are “really gorgeous and classy. They could be out of W magazine. They're really elegant. It's probably a lot more sophisticated than a lot of the stuff you'd see of people with their clothes on."

And though McCarthy does look good (darn good!), she isn't the first 40-ish celebrity to pose for Playboy. Others include Farrah Fawcett, who posed when she was 50, and Nancy Sinatra, who took off her walking boots at the age of 54.

Adele pregnant: Singer announces she’s expecting first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki

Adele announced Friday that she is expecting her first child.

Rumor has it that Adele is going to be a mom.

The Grammy-winning singer announced Friday that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki.

“I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together,” the singer, 24, wrote on her website.

“I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time.”

The British songstress made her relationship public in January when she was photographed out with Konecki, 38, in London.

Konecki, the CEO of Drop4Drop charity and divorced father, then accompanied Adele to the Grammy Awards in February, where the singer nabbed six trophies for her album “21.”

The “Rolling in the Deep” singer sparked engagement rumors later that month when she was spotted wearing a yellow diamond on her engagement finger at the BRIT awards.

Though she eventually denied the engagement rumors, Adele expressed her desire to have children.

"I really want to be a mum," she told People, adding that her goal was to have three sons by the age of 30. "I better start getting on with it!"

Scientology Played a Part in Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' Split, Source Says

Scientology Played a Part in Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' Split, Source Says
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' marriage may have looked like the picture of perfection from the outside, but insiders say the couples' troubles were nothing new, stemming at least in part from Cruise's commitment to Scientology.

"She was never truly comfortable with the Scientology thing," a source close to Holmes told E! News. "It was something she accepted and put up with for many years because it was important to Tom, and for that reason, important to her. But over the past year, they had started to see things differently, and she was beginning to pull away."

"It wasn't that she was against Scientology," the source continued. "She wasn't at all. She definitely saw its benefit, but she also didn't want it to be her everything, and for Tom, in some ways, it was. She wanted more freedom to make her own decisions."

But it appears Scientology wasn't the couple's only area of conflict.

Another source, who was close with Holmes when she first started dating the Rock of Ages star, said Holmes' personality changed significantly during their marriage…and not in a good way.

"She gave up everything to be with him," the source said. "When she met him, she stopped seeing all her friends and being the normal girl that she was before. She truly adored him. She was overwhelmed by his fame when he first asked her out. He was a huge movie star and suddenly he was giving her attention, and right from the start he was enamored by her. She couldn't believe her luck. He made her feel like all she needed in her life was him."

MORE: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' Prenup: What's in It?

"I saw her a few years into the relationship and she was not the same girl," the source continued. "Everything she had to say was ‘Tom this,' ‘Tom that.' It wasn't like she was in the first flush of love, when you can't stop talking about someone, it was past that point. It was as if he controlled her in a way just because she had barely anyone else in her life but him, and almost no one her own age. She listened to him so much that she didn't have her own opinion on things, it was weird. Maybe it was because she wanted me to believe she had given up her previous life and her friends for some perfect man, but it just didn't seem sincere."

Meanwhile, Holmes and Cruise managed to keep signs of a possible split under wraps—so much so that another source who spent time with Holmes recently said there was no way to tell that her divorce filing was coming.

"From what I have been told, no one on [a recent trip to China] had any idea anything was wrong," the source said. "She was absolutely normal in her demeanor. No one saw any signs at all. Katie seemed happy, upbeat, in a good mood...She was talking about Tom as if everything was normal. There were no red flags at all."

Katy Perry Admits Her Divorce Needed To Be Acknowledged In New Film

This Sunday's issue of PARADE features (a very star-spangled!) Katy Perry on the cover! The singer opens up about a number of things, including why her divorce to Russell Brand needed to be acknowledged in her new 3-D concert documentary "Katy Perry: Part of Me". She also reacts to Obama's support of same-sex marriage and chats about her new outlook on life.
Her new concert documentary chronicles Perry’s life onstage and off, through all her ups and downs—including her split from Brand after 14 months of marriage. Despite being addressed in the film, the breakup is understandably a sensi–tive subject for Perry. She refers to it only as “the situation”—as in,“I’m very aware that it’s inappropriate to give too much away, and that really the situation is just between two people,” she tells PARADE. When it’s noted that she and Brand have been respectful of each other in the media, she responds cryptically, “The universe will have its way.”
Read on for more highlights from her PARADE interview!
Perry admits her breakup needed to be acknowledged in the film: “I think if people walked out of the theater and that was completely avoided, they would be like, ‘Well, there’s an elephant in the room that’s still there.’ I like to go out there looking like a strong woman, because I am strong. But I am also a woman who goes through all kinds of problems and highs and lows. I wanted to show the complete spectrum.”
Perry’s musical collaborator Bonnie McKee on Perry’s new song “Wide Awake”: “When we wrote ‘Teenage Dream,’ it was really about your first love and how magical that is. I think Russell made her feel that way again, and she felt she hadfound the person she was going to spend the rest of her life with. And whenthat didn’t turn out to be what she’d hoped, it kind of made sense to talk about waking up.”
More on her 3-D concert film "Katy Perry: Part of Me": “There are a lot of things that are personally uncomfortable to show, especially me without makeup and completely bloated or crying. But I’ve realized that it’s time for me to show my audience that you don’t have to be perfect to achieve your dreams. Because nobody relates to being perfect. … I’m okay with having bad dance moves. I’m okay with having horrible lower teeth. That’s what makes me me, and for some reason it’s worked out all right.”
On Perry’s reaction to President Obama’s support of same-sex marriage: “I was really happy; I probably went down to West Hollywood and had a shot. I came from a different mind-set growing up, and my mind has changed. My viewpoint on all these things—equality for women, the choice to love anyone you want—hopefully, we will look back at this moment and think like we do now concerning [other] civil rights issues. We’ll just shake our heads indisbelief, saying, ‘Thank God we’ve evolved.’ That would be my prayer for the future.” '
Perry realizes how fortunate she is to call the United States home: “Not to sound overly cheesy but I really appreciate the freedom we have in America—especially as a female.”
